Access to document requests - AskTheEU.org

Consult the outcome of requests for access to documents of EU institutions under Regulation 2001/1049 or file your own request. AskTheEU.org is a civil society open source platform. Requests can also be filed via the website of the institution holding the documents.

Register of EU law, EU case law and parliamentary questions. Includes a feature to search by EU lawmaking procedures. Also includes a register of national law and case law of Member states.

European Committee of Regions (CoR)

Advisory body representing regional and local authorities. The Commission and the Council must consult the CoR on legislative proposals that have impacts at regional or local level. The CoR monitors the respect of the principle of subsidiarity; see also the REGPEX tool.

Independent and impartial non-judicial body that holds the EU’s institutions and agencies to account. File a complaint to report maladministration by an institution. Read the reports of the Ombudsman's proactive investigations on systemic issues.

Court of Justice of the EU

Understand the powers and access the case law of the judicial authority of the EU which comprises two courts: the Court of Justice and the General Court. These courts review the legality of the acts of the institutions of the European Union, ensure that the Member States comply with obligations under the Treaties, and interpret European Union law at the request of the national courts and tribunals.
