About this event
EUChanger trainings aim to empower public interest organisations and activists to re-balance power in EU decision-making in favour of the public interest. The EU Communications Academy is all about effective communications that ‘cut through’ at the EU level. It combines core skills, the latest trends, and the challenges and realities of EU level communications to help public interest organisations cut through the noise.
Who is this training for?
This training is particularly suited for:
Early-career public interest communicators who are want to fast-track their learning about what works at the EU level, get a grounding in the ‘essentials’ of EU communications, and expand their network,
More experienced comms practitioners who are new to the EU level and want to better understand how to ‘cut through’ - you may be active at national level, or have experience in a different sector.
More experienced comms practitioners who want to brush up on core skills, learn from other public interest organisations, think together with others how to be effective in the current context, and expand their network.
Advocacy and campaign professionals who want to strengthen their communications skills and their understanding of the potential and strategic importance of good comms.
What will you get out of the training?
This training provides:
Knowledge and understanding of the most important need-to-know specificities of communications and media relations at the EU level
Skills training in the ‘essentials’ of EU level communications for the public interest - media relations, online influencing and clear writing.
Resources, practical advice, tips and tricks, new ideas for effective communications in today’s context.
A space to learn from, strategise with, and build community with other public interest communicators and advocates active for a wide range of causes.

The number of places is limited. To allow as many public interest organisations as possible to participate and benefit from the training, we will allow a maximum of two participants from the same organisation. Registration effective upon receipt of payment. We are able to offer a limited number of pro bono spaces. If covering the fee is a challenge for you — for example, if you are a recent graduate, intern, volunteer, or activist with a strong interest in the EU and a commitment to the public interest — we encourage you to get in touch.
